
What is BMI?
Quoted from Wikipedia, "the body mass index (BMI) or the Quentelet index is a statistical measure of the weight of a person scaled according to height".
In Asian countries, obesity is not a contraversial issue unlike in American and European countries. As people become wiser and more health conscious nowadays, BMI is the simpliest way of instantly knowing the one's current body standing. Be aware also that the categories of BMI itself is not a mean of diagnosing illness related to the result.
There are two options to choose from to get your BMI; plotting your height and weight in the BMI chart or simply calculating you BMI using the formula:

Through the use of BMI chart or the formula, the BMI result identifies as to what category a physically inactive individuals may fit in.
- BMI of 18.5 to 25 - Normal
- BMI lower that 18.5 - Underweight
- BMI more than 25 - Overweight
- More than 30 - Obese
